This solves any equation in the form ax² + bx + c = 0. It’s usually given in an exam…but you should learn it and how to use it.
Things To Remember
- It’s minus b on the top line…so whatever b is in the original equation you need to reverse the sign. If it’s minus make it positive, if it’s positive make it minus.
- You will get two solutions – because you add the square root for one, you take it away for the other.
